Thissite covers over 100 diets and rates itself as a “Diet Encyclopedia”. This is another general review site that doesn’t offer the same depthas webMD but does give seemingly honest and to the point analysis.  Ithas an impressive array of diets and information and the diets areorganized in easy to find and follow categories.  The diets aren’t onlyalphabetized, but also listed by diets that may help various healthissues such as arthritis, candida, or diabetes.  They are also incategories such as high protein, low carb, etc.
The site may not offer all the information necessary to choose a diet, but it does give you enough to rule out many.

The site also includes the latest research and evaluates some popular claims such as eating food slowly, the value of not eating late night snacks, and eating foods that are so called metabolism boosters (not!).  These articles are condensed so you can get the information by scanning just a few sentences if you choose.

The weight loss portion of the site leaves something to be desired.  Since most of the articles are reprints from publication such as “Good Housekeeping”, you’re limited by what these audiences are attracted by.  This means there’s a lot of “number” articles like 15 Great Diet Foods, or 6 Foods You Should Never Eat”.  On first read, most of us think, “Which foods are those?” The answer turns out to be stuff you were almost born knowing, like potato chips.

The site losses credibility with articles like “5 Flat Belly Foods”.   The foods such as olive oil, nuts and chocolate (we knew you wanted to know) are healthy, but flat bellies are a result of being thin, not eating chocolate.

Although there’s a good section on Bariatric Surgery, basically segment of the site is just another “keep a food diary and drink a lot of water” websites with a lot of ads.  But we knew to do that already, right?
